Abnormal AI vs Sublime Security
Abnormal AI and Sublime Security side by side: what each one is, what it costs to start, and whether you can try it free. Everything below comes from the vendors' own sites and other public sources, not from hands-on testing.
Neither tool is ranked above the other here. These are research-based profiles, not hands-on tests. Starting price is the lowest listed paid plan per month (annual-billing equivalent where the vendor lists one), as shown on the vendor's own site when we last checked. Prices change, so confirm on the vendor's site.

Key differences

Pricing is not directly comparable from the numbers we hold (Abnormal AI: Custom pricing; Sublime Security: Free; custom-priced paid plans), so check each vendor's pricing page.
Both are in our Cybersecurity AI category.
About each tool
A

Abnormal AI
Cloud email, identity and AI security platform that the vendor says uses behavioral AI and deploys by API; pricing is not published, so demos go through sales.
Who it is for
Organizations with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace email that want API-based protection against phishing, business email compromise and account takeover, bought through a sales process. The vendor's pages offer demos and proof-of-value trials through sales rather than self-service sign-up.
Strengths
- Abnormal says the platform deploys in 60 seconds via API with no MX record changes.
- The vendor lists email security (Inbound Email Security, AI Security Mailbox, AI Phishing Coach, Misdirected Email, Email DLP Rules), identity security (Account Takeover Protection, Identity Threat Protection, Posture Management) and AI security (AI Governance, AI Agent Security, AI Employee Guardrails).
- The platform page lists integrations with Microsoft Entra, Okta, Ping Identity, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Salesforce, ServiceNow, AWS, Azure, GCP and Splunk, and cites 100+ native API integrations.
- Abnormal says Inbound Email Security builds a behavioral profile per identity with its Attune model and explains which signals triggered each detection; it also lists Search & Respond, Quarantine Release, Custom Rules and Custom AI Models.
- The service privacy notice says Abnormal does not sell Customer Data, uses subprocessors under written agreements, and issues a deletion certificate on written request.
- The vendor says each proof of value generates head-to-head miss data against the incumbent email security tool.
Limitations
- The privacy notice says Customer Data is used solely to provide and improve the Service but does not say whether it is used to train AI models, and it does not state where data is stored; confirm with the vendor.
- The homepage cites an internal benchmark against general-purpose language models; its footnotes say the results come from a focused test set and may not reflect production results.
S

Sublime Security
Email security platform with ML verdicts and AI agents for triage and detection; vendor says a free start exists under 100 mailboxes, Enterprise pricing is not published.
Who it is for
Security teams that want visible detection logic, custom detections and hunting, and automated triage of user-reported email, on Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. The vendor says organizations protecting fewer than 100 mailboxes can start free, and its full platform is sold as Enterprise, now through channel partners.
Strengths
- The ADÉ docs say it writes a detection rule from a missed message, backtests it against historical email (14 days by default), and waits for analyst approval; auto-activation is optional with a preset 99% precision threshold.
- The plans page lists API deployment with no MX changes, cloud or self-hosted options, SIEM and SOAR integrations, and custom detections and hunting; the ASA page lists Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 as supported environments and alerts via Slack, webhook or email.
- The Enterprise add-ons are Email DLP (built-in PII, PHI and PCI detections, Microsoft Purview label enforcement) and Tailored Phishing Simulations and Training, which the docs say runs inside Sublime on Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
Limitations
- Prices are not published: the plans page lists one paid plan (Enterprise) and two add-ons with no prices, seat minimums or trial length, and a blog post dated April 28, 2026 says Sublime is moving to 100% channel sales.
- ASA, ADÉ and the add-ons need an Enterprise subscription; ASA also needs a configured abuse mailbox, and self-hosted AWS deployments need a one-time setup and may incur per-report processing costs for ADÉ.
- The vendor's own pages differ on model providers: the ASA docs say data is not retained by the model provider, while the ASA feature page says data is not shared with third-party model providers. The ADÉ docs say inference is geo-pinned in supported regions but some regions may route outside the geography.
- The Enterprise terms say fees paid are non-refundable, orders renew automatically unless notice is given 30 days before the term ends, and Sublime may use customer data to train its internal algorithms where the customer has authorized sharing for that purpose.
