Careerflow and Teal side by side: what each one is, what it costs to start, and whether you can try it free. Everything below comes from the vendors' own sites and other public sources, not from hands-on testing.

About each tool
C

Careerflow
LinkedIn optimizer, AI resume tools, job tracker and Chrome extension. Free plan; Premium from $14.41 a month billed annually ($23.99 monthly).
Who it is for
It suits job seekers who want to improve a LinkedIn profile and resume and track applications in one place. The vendor also lists special pricing for students and recent graduates, and tools for universities, career coaches and bootcamps; its terms say the site is for users 18 and older.
Strengths
- Careerflow lists a free Basic plan that includes the Chrome extension, recruiter and hiring-manager search, one resume, and basic LinkedIn Optimizer and resume analysis.
- Premium is listed with unlimited AI resumes, cover letters, elevator pitches, LinkedIn posts and job description summaries, plus an ATS score and keyword analyzer and detailed skill gap analysis.
- Premium Plus adds AI mock interviews, interview analysis and priority support, per the pricing page.
- Its FAQ says data is encrypted in transit and at rest, personal data is not sold to third parties, and account deletion is processed within 30 days.
- Its FAQ says LinkedIn profile data is read through the browser extension, not through LinkedIn's API.
- Yearly billing is listed at 20% off for Premium and 35% off for Premium Plus compared with the listed non-yearly rates.
Limitations
- Free-plan job tracker limits conflict: the pricing page says the tracker is limited, the FAQ says there is no cap on tracked jobs, and a help-center article says up to 10 tracked jobs. The pricing page also says several free features "will be limited soon".
- The terms say subscriptions renew automatically and must be canceled at least 24 hours before renewal through the Manage Subscription portal; email requests do not cancel. Weekly plans are non-refundable.
- Refund wording conflicts: the help center and terms allow requests within 7 days of the first purchase, but the terms also say purchases are final and, near the end, that no refunds are given for any services.
- The terms say "unlimited" AI features are subject to an AI Usage Policy that allows rate limits. The FAQ does not say whether LinkedIn data is stored or for how long, or whether user data is used to train AI models. The terms grant Careerflow a broad license to user contributions and say the site is hosted in the United States, with data from other countries transferred there.
T

Teal
Resume builder with AI analysis, keyword matching and a job tracker. Free plan available; Teal+ starts at $29 every 30 days ($13 weekly, $79 quarterly).
Who it is for
Job seekers who want to tailor resumes to specific job descriptions and track applications, contacts and companies in one place. Teal's pricing is built around active job searches, with weekly, monthly and quarterly Teal+ billing.
Strengths
- Teal's pricing page lists unlimited resumes and unlimited job tracking on the free plan, and the free plan needs no credit card.
- Teal's resume builder page says you can attach a job description to get a Match Score and keyword suggestions, and run an AI analyzer that returns an ATS score and recommendations.
- Teal says you can import an existing resume (PDF, Word or pasted text) or a LinkedIn profile, and names PDF as the export format.
- Teal's Chrome extension page says it saves postings from 40+ job boards, naming Indeed, Glassdoor, BuiltIn and LinkedIn, and lets you add a job manually when a site is not supported.
- Teal's pricing page lists Teal+ as unlimited templates, keyword matching, analysis mode and AI credits for bullets, summaries and cover letters.
- Teal's terms say you keep ownership of the resumes, cover letters and notes you upload, and its refund rules are stated with fixed windows (2, 7 or 14 days by plan).
Limitations
- Free AI use is capped by credits: the pricing page lists 10 for resume bullets, 2 for professional summaries and 2 for cover letters. A Teal blog post says 5 bullet credits, so Teal's own pages disagree.
- Teal's pages disagree on free templates: the pricing page lists 10, while the resume builder page says 100+ free templates and lists premium templates under Teal+.
