Snaptrude vs Arcol
Snaptrude and Arcol side by side: what each one is, what it costs to start, and whether you can try it free. Everything below comes from the vendors' own sites and other public sources, not from hands-on testing.
Neither tool is ranked above the other here. These are research-based profiles, not hands-on tests. Starting price is the lowest listed paid plan per month (annual-billing equivalent where the vendor lists one), as shown on the vendor's own site when we last checked. Prices change, so confirm on the vendor's site.

Both are in our Architecture category.
About each tool
S

Snaptrude
Browser-based concept design platform for architects with AI agents and Revit and Rhino integration. Pro is $50 a month billed yearly, or $60 monthly.
Who it is for
Snaptrude targets architecture firms doing early-stage and concept design, and its education pages also cover K-12 and higher-education projects. A free Student plan covers students, educators and student clubs, and the terms say educational versions may not be used for for-profit work.
Strengths
- Snaptrude says it has bi-directional integration with Revit and Rhino, and its education page says it works alongside a firm's current stack.
- The help center lists AI agents for design, research (with citation-backed answers on building codes), site analysis, space programs, dimensions, stories and charts; the Design Agent runs up to six agents in sequence and each step is approved by the user.
- The pricing page lists 75 AI credits a week on Free, 500 a week on Pro and 2,500 per seat a month on Organization, with Pro adding BIM mode, exports, drawing sheets to PDF, design options and daylight analysis.
- Snaptrude says it is SOC 2 compliant (the firms page heading says Type 2) and that project data is never shared or used to train models; its Terms say you own your User Content.
- Organization lists teams and collaboration, a license management portal, custom roles and permissions, a BIM library with custom RFAs and 3 license transfers a year; Enterprise adds SSO/SAML/MFA, open API access and directory sync.
Limitations
- Free is limited to 1 project and 75 AI credits a week, with no teams environment and no transferable licenses; the pricing page also lists limited presentation outputs.
- The pricing page disagrees with itself on Free exports (the plan cards say no exports and no BIM mode, while the comparison block lists basic BIM and Revit export), on Pro (the yearly card shows $50 a month, the other views $60 a month) and on Organization (the cards say $100 per seat a month, the comparison block says $100 a month billed annually with no seat wording).
- Per the Terms, fees are non-cancellable and non-refundable, plans renew automatically, and annual plans must be cancelled at least 30 days before the term ends (monthly plans can be cancelled at any time, effective at period end).
- The Terms do not state AI-model training rules for User Content and refer to a separate Privacy Policy and DPA (not read), so the marketing claim of no training is not confirmed in the Terms text; the Terms are governed by Delaware law and bar educational versions from for-profit use.
A

Arcol
Browser-based building design platform for real-time collaborative modeling, metrics and boards. Free plan; Team is $100 per user a month (Reported), $1,200 a year billed annually.
Who it is for
Business Wire describes Arcol as a platform for AEC teams working on concept design, with schematic design and later construction documentation listed as planned. A third-party listing (Reported) says the free plan is for solo users on personal projects and that Arcol is not a full BIM authoring system.
Strengths
- Business Wire (June 2025) lists real-time collaboration with multiplayer access and commenting, geometric modeling of lofted, angled or twisted buildings, and automatic real-time metrics in place of spreadsheets.
- Business Wire lists Boards, shared visual workspaces that combine design views, data and documentation.
- Fitgap (Reported) lists unlimited collaborators and unlimited projects, live-updating metrics, and project and sheet templates on Team plans.
- Fitgap (Reported) says Revit export is available on paid plans; a third-party dossier (Reported) says Arcol exports to Revit but does not run inside it.
- Fitgap (Reported) lists an Enterprise tier with custom pricing, unlimited storage, custom model and workflow development, and dedicated onboarding and support.
Limitations
- The official pricing page, help center and homepage could not be read in this session, so every plan detail below is Reported from a third-party listing and should be confirmed.
- Fitgap (Reported) lists Team at $100 per user a month billed monthly, so cost grows with the number of editors; G2 says Arcol's pricing is not listed there by the vendor.
- Business Wire says current focus is concept design, with schematic design and, eventually, construction documentation still planned; Fitgap (Reported) says it is not a full BIM authoring system.
- Fitgap (Reported) lists no free trial; the Free plan is described as for solo users on personal projects.
