Learn AI: 25 courses and guides from vendors and universities
Where to learn how AI works and how to use it, taken from the companies that build it and from universities. Many start free, some charge for certificates or full access, and each row says what the provider's own page states.
Grouped by what you want to do, not ranked, and not tested: we have not taken these courses. Costs, lengths and languages are as each provider's page showed on 2026-10-18. Free offers change, so confirm on the provider's page before you sign up. There are no affiliate links on this page.
Before you pick one
- Pick one goal. Understanding AI, using AI tools well, and building with AI are different paths. Start in the matching section below.
- Check what "free" covers. Lessons may be free while graded work, certificates or full access cost money.
- Check the prerequisites. The build and deeper sections assume some Python.
- Check the language. We mention a language only where the provider's page showed it. If a row says nothing, look at the course page.
- Remember whose view it is. A course from an AI company mostly teaches that company's own tools, so it helps to mix in a university or independent source.
