About each tool
S

Suno AI
Generates songs with vocals and instruments from text prompts or uploaded audio. Free daily credits; commercial use needs a paid plan. Pro is $8 a month (annual billing, as listed).
Who it is for
People who want to make songs from text or audio without recording them. Suno's pricing page ties commercial rights, more credits and editing tools such as stems and Suno Studio to the paid tiers.
Strengths
- The Free plan gives 50 credits a day, which Suno's help center says is enough for about 10 songs a day
- Pro and Premier include commercial use rights, and the help center says these rights stay with songs made while subscribed, even after cancelling
- Paid plans use a priority queue with up to 10 songs generating at once, against 4 on Free
- Premier lists Suno Studio (MIDI, effects, automation, plugins), three stem separation types, and adding vocals or instrumentals to existing songs
- Pro and Premier can buy extra credits and downloads, and audio uploads go up to 30 minutes on paid plans against 8 on Free
Limitations
- Ownership depends on the plan when the song was made: Pro and Premier subscribers own the songs they make while subscribed, per the same article
- Downloads are capped on paid plans, at 20 a month on Pro and 60 a month on Premier. Suno Studio workflows do not count toward the cap (help article edited 3 September 2026)
- Music Business Worldwide reported that Warner Music Group and Suno announced a settlement and licensing partnership on 25 November 2025, with Suno saying it plans licensed models in 2026. The same report says Denmark's Koda and Germany's GEMA continue their claims against Suno

Soundraw
AI music generator for royalty-free tracks with a free-try button. Creator is $19.99 monthly or $16.99 a month on yearly billing per its plan page; other pages differ.
Who it is for
Soundraw says the Creator plan is for creators, individuals and small companies (under 10 staff) who need background music for YouTube, podcasts, games and social media. It says the Artist plans are for musicians and producers who want to modify its beats and distribute songs, and that companies with 10 or more employees should use Enterprise.
Strengths
- Soundraw lists personal and commercial use on all paid plans, with uses such as YouTube, social media, games, client work, radio and TV on its license page.
- Soundraw says music you create while subscribed stays licensed after you cancel ("keep the license forever").
- Soundraw lists unlimited downloads on Creator and Artist Unlimited, and WAV and stems on Artist Pro, Artist Unlimited and Enterprise (homepage).
- Soundraw's Artist page says users keep 100% of recording royalties on songs they make from its beats and can distribute without restrictions (subject to the license rules).
- Soundraw's API page lists API Starter at $29.99 a month (up to 100 songs) and API Pro at $300 a month (up to 1,000 songs, 6-month minimum), plus custom plans.
Limitations
- The license page says beats distributed to services like Spotify must be modified and sound clearly different from the downloaded track; distributing unmodified music and registering Content ID are listed as not OK.
- Soundraw's Creator page says Creator-plan music cannot be used in standalone tracks for sale on Spotify or Apple Music without additional licensing, and points to the Artist plan.
- The Artist page says credit to Soundraw is required and selling beats without adding your own vocals or instruments is not allowed; the Creator page says credit is not required. The license page limits physical stores to one and lists movies, TV, ads and synchronized content as 'Ask SOUNDRAW'.
- Soundraw's own pages disagree on prices: the homepage lists Creator at $16.99 and $11.04 and the Creator page at $19.99 monthly and $16.99 yearly; the Artist page shows two figures per plan and billing period, and the homepage does not say which is monthly or yearly.
