What is Soundraw?
Soundraw is an AI music generator that builds tracks from genre, mood, theme and instrument choices, which you can adjust to fit a video before downloading. It runs as a web editor, and Soundraw also sells API access for developers.
Who it's for
Soundraw says the Creator plan is for creators, individuals and small companies (under 10 staff) who need background music for YouTube, podcasts, games and social media. It says the Artist plans are for musicians and producers who want to modify its beats and distribute songs, and that companies with 10 or more employees should use Enterprise.
Pros & cons
Strengths
- Soundraw says its AI is trained only on songs its in-house producers write and record, and that the catalog has no scraped songs.
- Soundraw lists personal and commercial use on all paid plans, with uses such as YouTube, social media, games, client work, radio and TV on its license page.
- Soundraw says music you create while subscribed stays licensed after you cancel ("keep the license forever").
- Soundraw lists unlimited downloads on Creator and Artist Unlimited, and WAV and stems on Artist Pro, Artist Unlimited and Enterprise (homepage).
- Soundraw's Artist page says users keep 100% of recording royalties on songs they make from its beats and can distribute without restrictions (subject to the license rules).
- Soundraw's API page lists API Starter at $29.99 a month (up to 100 songs) and API Pro at $300 a month (up to 1,000 songs, 6-month minimum), plus custom plans.
Limitations
- The license page says beats distributed to services like Spotify must be modified and sound clearly different from the downloaded track; distributing unmodified music and registering Content ID are listed as not OK.
- Soundraw's Creator page says Creator-plan music cannot be used in standalone tracks for sale on Spotify or Apple Music without additional licensing, and points to the Artist plan.
- Artist Starter allows 10 downloads a month and Artist Pro 20, and the homepage lists Creator and Artist Starter as mp3 only; the Artist page says Artist Starter has no stems.
- The Artist page says credit to Soundraw is required and selling beats without adding your own vocals or instruments is not allowed; the Creator page says credit is not required. The license page limits physical stores to one and lists movies, TV, ads and synchronized content as 'Ask SOUNDRAW'.
- Soundraw's own pages disagree on prices: the homepage lists Creator at $16.99 and $11.04 and the Creator page at $19.99 monthly and $16.99 yearly; the Artist page shows two figures per plan and billing period, and the homepage does not say which is monthly or yearly.

Prices were read from the Soundraw homepage, the Creator page, the Artist page and the API page; soundraw.io/pricing could not be fetched. The pages disagree, and the homepage's Monthly/Annual toggle does not label its figures, so treat all as Reported. Confirm on the live pricing page.
