Pros & cons
Strengths
- Degreed lists three products on its pricing page: Degreed Learning (LXP), Degreed Skills+ and Degreed Academies, and says customers buying two or more can request a custom bundle.
- Degreed says Skills+ normalizes skill data, supports custom taxonomies and proficiency scales, analyzes skill supply and gaps, and forecasts future skill needs using industry data.
- Degreed says Academies runs cohort-based programs with due dates, prerequisites, project assignments with feedback, peer discussion, and live or asynchronous virtual training.
- A March 2026 announcement lists Maestro updates (Guided Conversations, Skills Check-In, Custom Rubrics), two Solution Accelerators (Leadership Transformation and AI Fluency) and an MCP integration that brings skills data and learning records into tools such as ChatGPT and Claude with organization-controlled access.
- Degreed says all products include basic skills (ratings and validation), automation, reporting and advanced analytics, connectors and APIs, and 24/7 customer support.
- Degreed names SOC 2 on its security page and announced ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO 9001 certifications on March 18, 2026; it says client data is hosted in Microsoft Azure, encrypted with TLS 1.2 in transit and AES-256 at rest.
Limitations
- No prices are published; every product shows a Talk to Sales link, and the FAQ says pricing depends on company needs, budget and headcount. Minimum seats and contract length are not stated.
- Professional services (implementation, change management, adoption, learning experience design, technical consulting) are available on request and are listed separately from the products.
- Degreed's AI governance page says models use partnerships and public datasets and that client feedback is used to refine the AI, but neither it nor the security page says whether customer or learner content is used to train models.
- The security page's TISAX and GDPR badges have no Degreed-specific detail on the page itself, and it does not name the regions where primary data is stored; the vendor points to its Trust Center and Data Processing Agreement for that.
- The March 2026 announcement gives no release dates for most of the new tools, so availability by plan or customer is unclear. No refund or cancellation terms appear on the pages read.
