Kagi is a paid search engine that says it runs without ads or tracking. It also includes Kagi Assistant (an AI chat that can use Kagi Search results), plus Summarize and Translate tools.

People who want a subscription-funded search engine with Lenses and personalized result controls. The Assistant suits users who want AI chat for writing, research and programming. Family and Team plans exist for groups.

Limitations
- There is no permanent free plan: the Trial is a one-time allowance of 100 searches
- Starter allows 300 searches a month, and unused searches do not roll over
- On Starter, each lens and content type (such as images or news) counts as a separate search, as does loading more results
- Premium Assistant models need the Ultimate plan
- Assistant use is capped by a monthly allowance; AI features are disabled when it is reached until the next billing cycle
- By default, Assistant threads are deleted after 24 hours of inactivity

- Trial: Free. 100 total searches. Kagi's pages disagree on how many Assistant interactions are included (100 or 50).
- Starter: $5/month. 300 searches a month; Assistant with standard models.
- Professional: $10/month. Unlimited searches, Summarize and Translate.
- Ultimate: $25/month. Everything in Professional plus premium Assistant models and Research mode.
- Family and Team: See the pricing page. Family plans can upgrade adult members to Ultimate for $15/month each; Team pricing was not listed on the pages we read.
Kagi advertises 10% off annual billing but does not list annual amounts on the pages we read.
