About each tool
D

Docyt
AI-native accounting, payments and BI platform for hotels, restaurants and small businesses; the main pricing page is quote-based, with some figures Reported.
Who it is for
Docyt lists hotel owners and management companies, restaurant, retail and franchise operators, and accounting firms or BPOs for its suites. Profitbooks is aimed at small business owners, freelancers and accounting firms that do not want separate accounting software.
Strengths
- Docyt's homepage lists three suites: Payments (bill pay, corporate cards, receivables), Accounting (revenue and bank reconciliation, multi-entity accounting, month-end close) and Business Intelligence (Daily Flash, budgeting, forecasting, BooksGPT).
- The pricing page says every hotel module includes unlimited users, all integrations, onboarding and training, with no fees for integrations or training.
- Docyt says it is SOC 2 Type II compliant, with encryption at rest and in transit and two-factor authentication on by default.
- The homepage names connections to Oracle OPERA Cloud, Hilton OnQ, Mews and Cloudbeds, and onboarding includes data migration and catch-up accounting.
- Docyt lists no exit penalties on the hotel plans and says data can be exported at any time; Profitbooks is month-to-month with a 7-day free trial and no setup fees.
Limitations
- The hotel pricing page (pricing-plans) now shows no dollar amounts: pricing is per property per month by quote, depending on hotel type and modules, and plans are annual.
- Docyt's own pages disagree: pricing-new-demo lists Enterprise Suite from $299 per entity a month, while pricing-plans lists no prices; the homepage cites 500+ tools and the FAQ 300+ systems for integrations.
- Payments charges transaction-based fees for checks and ACH; the amounts are not listed and are disclosed on the order form. Optional Outcome plans (Month-End Close, Payments) are unpriced.
- The Enterprise Suite and Custom Suite list no trial; access is by demo request, and tier thresholds for hotel size are not published.
B

Booke AI
AI bookkeeping tool that categorizes bank feed transactions and matches documents in QuickBooks Online and Xero. Business plan: $129 a month per business.
Who it is for
Booke says it is for small and mid-sized businesses and accounting firms in the US, UK, Canada and Australia that keep their books in QuickBooks Online or Xero. Firms can ask for a multi-client plan with a white-label client experience; Booke does not present it as a new ledger or a replacement for accountants.
Strengths
- Booke says it works through your existing bank feed with no new or duplicate bank connection, and that QuickBooks Online or Xero stays the system of record.
- The Business plan lists daily bank feed categorization, smart document matching, missing document requests, custom thresholds and rules, exception review with an audit trail, OCR for bills, invoices and receipts, and email and chat support.
- Booke says low-confidence items go to your team for review with a suggested treatment, and the homepage also lists an AI assistant, a client query tool, inconsistency detection, tasks and a performance dashboard.
- Booke's data-handling page states AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit and encrypted backups, and says customers can export data for 30 days after cancellation with deletion completed within 30 days.
- Booke describes itself as an Intuit Certified Partner and a Xero Certified Partner, and says Intuit and Xero audit it annually; the page does not link to audit reports.
Limitations
- The Business plan is $129 a month per business. A business added mid-period is charged a prorated amount and joins the combined subscription charge from the next renewal.
- Booke's terms say it does not offer refunds for its SaaS products, though requests may be considered within 14 days of the subscription start if the service has not been substantially used; the terms say both "14 working days" and "14-day period". They also say prices can change at any time without further notice, and do not describe auto-renewal or how to cancel.
