What is Outreach?
Outreach is a sales engagement and revenue workflow platform that combines sequences across email, LinkedIn, SMS and calls with AI agents, conversation intelligence, deal management and forecasting. It runs as a web platform with a built-in dialer and a mobile app for in-person recording, and syncs activity to a CRM.
Who it's for
Outreach's pages are aimed at sales, marketing, revenue operations and customer success teams, including frontline reps, sales managers and leaders, and mention larger deployments at large enterprises. It is sold per user through a sales process, so it is not set up for individuals who want to sign up and pay online.
Pros & cons
Strengths
- The sales engagement page lists email, LinkedIn, SMS and calls as channels, with an integrated click-to-call dialer and meeting scheduler, and says call and meeting activity is logged automatically to the CRM.
- Outreach says sequences can include multiple stakeholders with replies consolidated into one thread, and that active sequences pause when a prospect is out of office and resume when they return.
- The February 2026 release post lists a Meeting Prep Agent (Beta), an expanded Deal Agent that can apply AI-recommended updates automatically, and a Research Agent that can refresh account insights daily, weekly or monthly.
- Outreach says it launched an MCP server so its insights, activity signals and recommended next actions can flow into outside AI systems, and lists LeadIQ and ZoomInfo integrations; its enterprise page says the Outreach Marketplace lists over 100 pre-built integrations and that an SDK and API are available.
- The security page lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and ISO 27701, encryption at rest and in transit, TLS 1.2 or higher for browser connections, and SAML 2.0 single sign-on with any number of identity providers.
- The pricing page says pricing is per user with no platform fees and support included, and lists four packages (Essentials, Core, Plus, Pro) with stated AI credit allotments from 10,000 to 100,000.
Limitations
- Outreach publishes no dollar prices: every package on the pricing page says 'Request pricing', and the page does not state seat counts, seat minimums or free trial terms.
- AI use is metered: the pricing page combines per-user seats with consumption-based AI credits (10,000 in Essentials, 25,000 in Core, 50,000 in Plus, 100,000 in Pro), and extra credit packs are sold separately.
- Features are split by tier: AI forecasting, scenario planner and territory management are listed only in Pro, the Deal Agent and Meeting Prep are listed in Plus, and the Core package lacks some Essentials items such as AI coach cards and deal health alerts.
- Calling is billed separately: the voice pricing page says customers pay for minutes and phone numbers, pay-per-use or by subscription, with a Global Minutes package at $300 a month per organization (10,000 pooled minutes, extra 1,000-minute blocks at $40); the per-user plan prices appear only in images and could not be read.
- On training, a blog post says Outreach does not use customer data to train third-party GenAI models, but the privacy page only says data is used 'to provide our service and improve our platforms' and the pages read do not say whether Outreach trains its own models on customer data; the blog advises confirming training terms in the signed agreement.
