What is Rask AI?

Rask AI is a web service that translates and dubs video and audio into other languages, with voice cloning, lip-sync, a line-by-line editor and subtitle (SRT) import and export. It runs in the browser, and Rask also lists an API for developers.

Who it's for

Rask's pricing page lists Creator for entry-level use, Creator Pro with lip-sync, API access and a small team workspace, and Business with batch translation and priority processing. Enterprise is sold through sales, with SSO, custom SLAs and a dedicated account manager.

Pros & cons

Strengths

  • Rask's pricing page says it translates into 135+ languages, with voice cloning in 32 languages (English, Spanish, Japanese, Hindi and others are named).
  • Rask lists a line-by-line editor, SRT import and export, translation prompting and a personal glossary on paid plans; Rask says re-dubbing after edits costs no extra minutes.
  • Rask's help center says unused minutes on annual plans roll over for as long as the subscription is active, and Creator Pro and Business can buy extra minutes at $3 each.
  • The pricing page lists a limited API on lower tiers and a production API with webhooks on Business; the Enterprise page lists SSO/SAML, human-in-the-loop review, bulk upload and bulk export.
  • The Enterprise page says video inputs are MP4, MOV, MKV and WEBM and audio inputs are MP3 and WAV; the pricing page says the maximum video length is 5 hours.
  • Rask lists payment by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and other methods through Stripe, plus cryptocurrency, and says a plan can be paused once every 12 months for up to one month.

Limitations

  • Usage is metered in minutes: dubbing uses 1 minute per minute of video per language, enhanced lip-sync adds 3 minutes per minute of video (the pricing page marks it as beta), and on-screen text translation is 3 minutes per minute of video, on Business and Enterprise only. Length rounds to the whole minute, with anything under 1 minute counted as 1.
  • The only free option is a trial of 3 minutes. The pricing page says no card is needed, but Rask's terms say billing information may be required and that trial minutes expire 7 days after account creation. Content on free accounts is deleted 3 months after creation, per the terms.
  • Unused minutes on monthly plans expire at the end of the billing cycle. Creator cannot buy extra minutes (the help center says to upgrade), and extra minutes are $3 each only on Creator Pro and Business.
  • Rask's terms limit full refunds to technical errors reported within 14 days with less than 25% of the plan used; there is no refund after 25% or 25 minutes is used, or if you changed your mind after a successful result. Stopping use does not cancel a subscription; cancel in account settings.
  • Rask's own pages disagree in places: the pricing page shows a 'Save up to 25%' banner that does not match the per-plan annual savings, the pricing page and help center word the seat counts and lip-sync tier differently, and terms Section 2 bars commercial use of the Service while Section 10 lets you use content you create outside it. The privacy policy (dated October 9, 2024) does not mention voice data or model training, while the Enterprise page says customer content is never used for general model training.

Plans and pricing

  • Free trial: $0. 3 minutes in total, cloning in 32 languages and the editor; not an ongoing free plan, and trial minutes expire 7 days after account creation per the terms.
  • Creator: $28 a month billed annually ($329 a year), or $39 monthly. 25 minutes a month on monthly billing, 300 a year on annual billing; no extra minutes can be bought.
  • Creator Pro: $67 a month billed annually ($799 a year), or $99 monthly. 100 minutes a month, or 1,200 a year; the help center lists multi-speaker lip-sync, API access and up to 3 team members; extra minutes $3 each.
  • Business: $167 a month billed annually ($1,999 a year), or $249 monthly. 250 minutes a month, or 3,000 a year; adds batch translation, priority processing, a production API with webhooks and on-screen text translation; help center lists up to 5 members plus guest reviewers.
  • Enterprise: Custom. Custom minutes, seats, SLA, dedicated API and integrations, SSO and security review; contact sales.

Prices were read from Rask's pricing page and help center this session, and the two agree on plan prices, minutes and extra-minute pricing. Rask also runs a promotion of 35% off first-year Creator and Creator Pro annual plans through December 31, 2026, applied only to the first year; this is not included in the prices above. Which tier includes each feature and the seat counts are worded differently between pages. Confirm on the live pricing page.
