What is Giraffe?

Giraffe is a browser-based real estate platform that combines maps with spatial data layers, drawing and 3D modeling tools, and a calculation engine for feasibility and site analysis. Its homepage calls it an orchestration layer for AI-driven real estate, and its help center documents a JavaScript SDK for building custom apps.

Who it's for

Giraffe's homepage lists real estate developers, corporate real estate teams, designers and architects, local governments, planners, and universities. The self-serve page describes Core as a plan for individuals and Teams for small teams, while Enterprise targets organizations working at scale.

Pros & cons

Strengths

  • Giraffe says Core includes unlimited projects, diagrams, 3D modeling, layered maps, a calculation engine, visual scripting, and view-only project sharing.
  • Giraffe lists four apps with every subscription: Paper (drawing sets), Squeeze (unit yield analysis), Spatial Toolkit (site filtering and portfolio screening) and Trees.
  • Giraffe says Teams adds shared billing, shared editing, shared content and library templates, and connecting to private apps; its help center lists email support for Teams.
  • Giraffe's Enterprise page lists SAML and OIDC single sign-on, permissions at project, folder or organization level, SOC2 Type II and ISO27001 certification, data residency options, and a dedicated Customer Success Manager.
  • The self-serve page lists Esri map servers, bring-your-own spatial data and built-in map layers, and the changelog shows a 6.0 release dated October 19, 2026 with generative design tools and a rebuilt Content Library.

Limitations

  • The pricing and self-serve pages list no free plan. The user agreement says Core users may get a 14-day free trial with limited features where work in Apps cannot be saved, and that Giraffe can change or end it at any time. A 'Start free' button appears with no stated terms.
  • Core is a single-user plan with view-only sharing. The help center says Teams allows up to 10 members, and Teams is priced per user, so cost scales with headcount. Exceeding the authorized user count can incur extra per-user fees under the user agreement.
  • The user agreement says fees are non-refundable, including unused time and downgrades, plans auto-renew, cancellation takes effect 30 days after submission, and Giraffe can change fees on 30 days' notice.
  • The user agreement says support services apply only to Enterprise plans and that Core and Teams get self-service resources, while the help center's tiers article lists AI chat support for Core and email support for Teams. The pages disagree.
  • The user agreement says AI Chat uses your own third-party AI credentials, that Giraffe does not provide or control the model, and that prompts are at your own risk. The agreement is governed by New South Wales, Australia law.

Plans and pricing

  • Core: $45 a month. US$ on the self-serve page, billed monthly, no contract. One user, unlimited projects, view-only sharing. No free plan is listed; the user agreement mentions a 14-day limited trial.
  • Teams: $1,500 per user a year. US$ on the self-serve page. Everything in Core plus shared billing, shared editing, shared libraries and private-app connections. Help center says up to 10 members. No trial listed.
  • Enterprise: Contact sales. No price listed. Adds tailored apps and workflows, custom datasets, SSO and audit logging, an SLA, a named account lead and a bespoke onboarding plan.

Prices were read from the official self-serve page, which shows only US$ figures although it has AU, US and INTL tabs. The pricing page lists Self serve and Enterprise without figures, and regional prices could not be compared. Confirm on the live pricing page.
