What is Legora?
Legora is a collaborative AI platform for lawyers that the vendor calls an agentic operating system for legal work, covering research, document review, drafting and workflow automation. It runs through Word and Outlook add-ins, an editor, a mobile app and a log-in platform, with integrations to document, data-room and contract systems.
Who it's for
The vendor aims it at law firms and in-house legal teams, with solution pages for M&A, litigation, banking, tax, insurance, private equity and the public sector. It is sold to organizations through a demo request; the vendor's terms state that Legora is not a law firm, does not give legal advice, and that its output should not be viewed as legal advice.
Pros & cons
Strengths
- Legora's product pages list Agent, Monitors (regulatory change tracking), Lists, Tabular Review, Workflows, Legal Research, Skills, Intake and Portal, plus Word and Outlook add-ins, an Editor and a mobile app.
- Workflows lets lawyers build multi-step tasks in plain language with no coding, using reference documents, precedents and style guides, with role-based access set by admins; the vendor lists prebuilt workflows such as lease red-flag reports and employment agreement review.
- An October 14, 2026 Legora release lists 30+ integrations, including iManage, NetDocuments, SharePoint, Box, Google Drive, Datasite, Intralinks, Everlaw, Docusign, Ironclad, Intapp Walls for AI, Slack and Microsoft Teams.
- Legora says the connected platform stays the system of record for permissions, and that ethical walls and confidentiality restrictions a firm already enforces determine what the Agent can retrieve.
- Legora's security page says it holds ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 certifications and a SOC 2 Type II report, and states data is encrypted with TLS 1.2 or higher in transit and AES-256 at rest, with a bring-your-own-key option.
- Legora says it will not use customer data to train or fine-tune any AI models; its US terms (clause 8.3.3) say it will not use Subscriber Confidential Information to train or fine-tune AI models, and that the Subscriber owns its content.
Limitations
- Legora does not publish prices on its website; the pages read show only a Book a demo call to action, so costs depend on a custom quote.
- Agent Pro uses consumption-based pricing (a June 23, 2026 vendor post): you pay for the work it completes, but the post names no unit, rate or tier. The standard Agent is described as available to all customers at no additional cost under existing contracts.
- Reported by an independent comparison site (not Legora): annual contracts and seat-based licensing for the core platform, with credit prices, overage rates and minimums unpublished. Confirm in writing with Legora.
- Under the US terms, invoices are due net 30 days, agreements renew automatically for periods equal to the initial term, fees can rise on renewal with 45 days' notice, and paid fees are generally not refunded (exceptions include Legora's uncured material breach). Licenses are individual and non-transferable.
- Legora's pages say integrations are rolling out in phases, and its security page does not list specific data-storage regions (it mentions tiered storage and enterprise packages for data location). Output is not legal advice and needs review by a qualified lawyer.
Plans and pricing
- Platform subscription: Custom (not published). Sold to firms and legal teams through a demo request; the vendor's pages do not list seats, tiers or limits.
- Legora Agent: No additional cost (per vendor). The vendor says all customers can access the Agent at no additional cost and with no change to existing contract terms.
- Agent Pro: Consumption-based (rate not published). Billed on the work completed; a usage dashboard by organization, user or project, spending limits and alerts are described. No unit or tier is stated.
Read from Legora's June 23, 2026 consumption-based pricing post and its product and legal pages; no official pricing page exists, and no prices appear on any page read. One independent source describes seat-based annual contracts but cites no Legora price document. Confirm on the live site or with Legora sales.
