Rayon is CAD software for drafting architectural and interior plans, with drafting tools that combine CAD commands and BIM tools such as a wall tool. It adds AI features (image tracing, visualization, an asset panel and a help assistant) and real-time multiplayer editing, and the site links to both a web app and a download page.
Who it's for
Rayon's site is aimed primarily at interior designers and architects, and its testimonials also come from real estate agents, space planners and operations managers. Rayon also lists a student signup and a free plan for people who only need public models.
Pros & cons
Strengths
- Rayon says it opens DWG, PDF and image files, and exports PDF drawing sets, schedules and DWG files.
- Rayon lists an element library of 4,000+ items, material libraries with textures, and 100+ pre-built templates, with options for custom libraries and drawing standards.
- Rayon lists four AI features: an AI panel that finds or generates assets, an assistant for Rayon and CAD questions, AI visualization that makes images from concepts, and AI tracing that turns an image into a vector sketch or wireframe.
- Rayon lists real-time multiplayer editing, comments and doodles on the canvas, Owner and Editor roles, public share links (view, duplicate or request edit access) and version history.
- The Free plan lists the full editing experience with unlimited public models; Pro adds unlimited private models, unlimited model history and 100 AI credits per week.
- Rayon's docs say paid subscribers get invoices and receipts through a Stripe billing dashboard, and that a paid plan can be cancelled at any time.
Limitations
- Free lists limited PDF and DWG export, limited block and style libraries, 7 days of model history, and 'AI support only' with no AI credit amount.
- AI credits are metered per week: 100 on Pro and 200 on Team. The pages read do not say what one credit buys or what happens at the cap.
- Team is priced per editor, and the docs describe prices as per editor, so cost grows with the number of editors. Team-level billing, team templates and live personal support are Team-only.
- Rayon's refund page says refunds are limited to listed reasons (major confirmed technical issue, accidental yearly plan reported within 4 weeks, student eligibility, double charge) and do not cover low usage, late cancellation or switching from yearly to monthly. Cancellation must be completed before the renewal date.
- The pricing page lists PDF and DWG export, while the docs pricing page lists PDF/PNG export for the Free and paid limits, so the pages differ. The privacy policy does not say whether user content is used to train AI, names Vercel as host and says processors are US-based. The pricing page FAQ questions (including cancellation and commercial use) show no answers.

- Team: $38 a month per editor billed annually, about $49 monthly (Reported). Everything in Pro plus team templates and libraries, team-level billing, live personal support, 200 AI credits per week. A 15-day free trial is shown.
- Enterprise: Custom. Not shown as a plan on the pricing page read this session; the previous profile listed it as talk to sales. Confirm on the live pricing page.
The pricing page shows $21 for Pro and $38 per editor for Team, offers monthly or yearly billing with a yearly discount, and its select links default to yearly; it does not label which period the shown prices use. The docs pricing page gives yearly rates of about $21 and $38 and monthly rates of about $27 and $49 (20% yearly discount), shown in euros (about 19/35 yearly, 25/45 monthly) with approximate dollar figures, so the monthly dollar amounts are Reported. Confirm on the live pricing page.
