What is Uizard?
Uizard is a web-based UI design tool that generates multi-screen app and website designs from text prompts and turns screenshots or hand-drawn wireframes into editable mockups. It is a design tool only: its help center says it cannot produce a working site or app, and it is used in a browser at app.uizard.io. Uizard was acquired by Miro in June 2024 (Reported).
Who it's for
The pricing page describes Free for students and hobbyists, Pro for startups and organizations, and Business for large organizations, with paid plans billed per creator seat. The help center says Uizard is for mock-ups and prototypes and that a developer is needed to add logic.
Pros & cons
Strengths
- The pricing page lists unlimited free viewers and commenters on every plan, including Free, and the help center says only Creator seats (people who edit) are charged.
- The product page lists Autodesigner (multi-screen designs from text), a Screenshot Scanner, a Wireframe Scanner, templates and a components library, real-time collaboration and comments, and interactive prototype sharing.
- The pricing page lists developer handoff (React and CSS) and private projects from Pro, and a custom brand kit, faster AI generation and priority support on Business.
- The terms of service say users own all rights in their Customer Data, and the help center says Uizard claims no ownership of what users create.
- The help center says cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing cycle, that nothing is deleted on a downgrade to Free, and that renewing Pro or Business restores access; it also lists a pause option of 1, 2, 6 or 12 months.
- The pricing page lists Enterprise with unlimited AI generations, SSO and two-factor authentication (via sales), design system setup, custom billing and an AI data SLA.
Limitations
- Free allows 3 AI generations a month in each AI category, 2 projects, up to 5 screens per project, 10 templates, 400 components per organization and only 1x resolution for JPG, PNG and PDF export. The pricing page lists an older Autodesigner 1.5 engine on Free and Autodesigner 2.0 on paid plans.
- Pro includes 500 AI generations a month per category and up to 100 projects; Business includes 5,000 generations a month per the pricing page, while the help center subscriptions article lists unlimited scans and suggestions for Business. The two pages disagree.
- The terms of service say designs and uploads from Free and Pro users may be used to fine-tune and train machine-learning models, and that Business and Enterprise content is not used for this. The privacy policy does not address AI training.
- The help center says there is no API access, no way to see how many generations you have used, no publishing to app stores or hosting, no code import, and English-only support; it does not officially support iPad or mobile devices.
- Fees are generally non-refundable under the terms of service, with a refund if you cancel and contact support within 14 days of purchase. A cancellation help article separately mentions a money-back guarantee without criteria. Payment is by major debit or credit card only, and Business is billed yearly only.
