What is Voiceflow?
Voiceflow is a platform for building and running AI customer support agents. Its docs list web chat (with a voice mode), phone, SMS and REST API channels, and the company says it is not a helpdesk.
Who it's for
Voiceflow's pages describe it for businesses that want AI support agents handing off to the helpdesk or contact center they already use, with a separate agencies and partners offer. The company says the Free plan is for trying the product and is not suited to production.
Pros & cons
Strengths
- Voiceflow's AI info page lists web chat with voice mode, phone, SMS and custom interfaces through the REST API as channels.
- It lists native tools for Zendesk, Salesforce, HubSpot and Shopify, plus live agent handoff to Zendesk, Genesys, UJET, Kustomer or Dixa.
- Each project has one agent built from a global prompt, playbooks, workflows, tools (API calls, code functions, MCP tools), a knowledge base, and separate build, test and production environments.
- Voiceflow says phone numbers can be provisioned by it in the US and Canada or connected from Twilio, Vonage or Telnyx.
- Voiceflow lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and GDPR compliance, and support for HIPAA-compliant deployments.
- Its billing docs say viewers are free and unlimited on all plans, and every paid plan includes some editor seats.
Limitations
- Voiceflow's public pricing page shows no dollar figures for self-serve plans; prices are read from the in-app Plans screen, older announcements and third-party articles.
- The billing docs say the Free plan has a one-time credit grant that does not renew, while an April 2025 Voiceflow post and a December 2025 third-party article describe 100 credits a month; the two do not agree.
- Usage is metered on top of the plan fee. The credits pricing table lists $0.005 per user chat message and $0.05 per phone minute, plus per-model LLM, speech-to-text and text-to-speech rates.
- Extra editor seats, extra phone numbers and higher concurrent-call limits are add-ons. An April 2025 Voiceflow post gave extra editors at $50 a month; the current docs give no seat price.
- Enterprise (SSO, private cloud hosting, custom credit allotments) is billed per contract with no published price, and PII redaction is an optional add-on.
Plans and pricing
- Free: $0. For trying out the product, limited features, not for production. Docs describe a one-time credit grant that does not renew (Reported: $1 credit, one editor).
- Pro: $60 a month, or $54 a month billed annually (Reported). For individual builders, access to all LLM models, higher agent limit than Free. Reported: plan fee returned as usage credit, 20 projects, 2 workspaces, 5 concurrent calls.
- Business: $150 a month, or $135 a month billed annually (Reported). For growing teams, with LLM fallback models and priority support. Reported: 5 workspaces, 15 concurrent calls, staging.
- Enterprise: Custom, billed per contract. Unlimited product usage, SSO, private cloud hosting, custom credit allotments; PII redaction is an optional add-on.
The official pricing page showed no prices; $60 and $150 a month come from the Voiceflow credits post (April 2025, annual discount 10%) and a September 2026 third-party article, and the 2025 post used older credit tiers. Plan descriptions come from Voiceflow's billing docs. Confirm on the live pricing page and in the in-app Plans screen.
