Strengths
- Eightfold lists modules for Talent Acquisition (sourcing, screening, scheduling, rediscovery, candidate relationship management), Talent Management, Talent Flex (contingent labor) and Workforce Exchange (public-agency career centers).
- The vendor describes an AI Interviewer and a 360 Interview that combines several interview rounds into one session, plus a candidate-fraud detection feature listed in its navigation.
- TalentForge lets teams build custom talent apps and agents on Eightfold's skills graph, with REST APIs and MCP tool servers that expose its core objects to code and LLM agents.
- Eightfold says it integrates two ways with ATS, HRIS and LMS systems of record, and it publishes integration guides for Workday, SAP SuccessFactors and Oracle.
- The vendor lists SOC 2 Type II, SOC 3, ISO 27001, 27017, 27701 and 42001, TX-RAMP, and FedRAMP Moderate, and says customers choose a hosting region (US, Canada or Europe per its MSA).
- Eightfold says its matching models and AI Interviewer get third-party bias audits, with summaries published under NYC Local Law 144 (self-reported on its Responsible AI page).
Limitations
- No prices are published. The pages read (product pages, platform overview, MSA) point to a demo request or ROI calculator, and fees are set in each customer's Sales Order.
- Per the MSA, fees are generally non-refundable and non-cancellable unless the agreement says otherwise. Uptime shortfalls earn service credits capped at 25% of monthly fees, and customer data is retrievable for 30 days after termination on written request.
- Training terms need a careful read. The security page says the platform does not use identifiable customer data to train its models, and the MSA says Eightfold shall not use Customer Personal Data to train AI Systems. The same MSA lets Eightfold use anonymized data derived from customer data (Anonymized Learnings) for product improvement, including training machine learning algorithms.
- Reported: a proposed class action, Kistler et al. v. Eightfold AI Inc. (federal case No. 3:26-cv-1768, Northern District of California), alleges Fair Credit Reporting Act violations over how applicants are assessed. A law-firm tracker (Akin Gump) described it as still in the pleading stage; it did not state Eightfold's response, and these are allegations only.
- The bias-audit figures on the Responsible AI page are the vendor's own statements and point to separate audit pages; the full results were not on the page read.
