What is Qodo?

Qodo is an AI code review platform that checks pull requests against context from multiple repositories and enforces team coding standards. It runs in Git providers (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps), in IDEs (VS Code, JetBrains, Visual Studio) and through a command-line toolbox for coding agents.

Who it's for

Qodo says it is for engineering teams with complex or multi-repository codebases, teams that use AI coding tools such as Copilot or Cursor, and enterprises that need standards enforcement and governance. The pricing page does not describe it as a tool for individual developers, and it has no permanent free plan.

Pros & cons

Strengths

  • Qodo lists agentic pull request review that checks changes against the full codebase, with cross-repo checks for shared libraries, APIs and schemas.
  • Qodo lists support for GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and Azure DevOps (Gerrit on Enterprise), plus VS Code, JetBrains and Visual Studio.
  • Qodo says its standards system learns rules from PR history and reviewer decisions and enforces them on each change; the pricing page lists no limit on the number of rules.
  • Qodo says it does not train AI models on customer code, uses code only to generate reviews for the customer's team, and that it is SOC 2 Type II certified through independent audit.
  • The Pro Team plan has no annual commitment, shows no rate limits, and developers do not need Qodo accounts; credits are pooled across the team.
  • Qodo offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card, and a free program for eligible open-source projects (public GitHub repo with 200+ stars, actively maintained).

Limitations

  • Qodo's pricing page says it has no permanent free tier; reviews pause when the 14-day trial ends until you pick a paid plan.
  • Pro Team is metered in credits at $.012 per credit, and unused credits expire at the end of each monthly cycle. Larger or more complex reviews use more credits, and overage is billed at the same rate (you set a monthly spending cap).
  • The pricing page labels Pro Team "Unlimited reviews" and "Unlimited credits" while also listing credit packs of 2,500, 5,000 and 20,000 credits (about 18, 36 and 144 reviews a month). The page does not explain how these fit together.
  • The pricing page lists a dashboard and analytics under Pro Team, but its comparison table marks Analytics as Enterprise only.
  • SSO/SAML, audit logs, bring-your-own LLM keys, single-tenant, on-prem or air-gapped deployment, Gerrit support, custom workflows, priority support/SLA and an MSA/DPA are listed for Enterprise only, which is for 30+ users and custom priced.
  • The open-source program free plan does not include advanced features such as Rules and PR History, and its docs state no usage limits.

Plans and pricing

  • Free trial: $0 for 14 days. No credit card required; installing Qodo requires Admin access. Reviews pause when the trial ends. There is no permanent free plan.
  • Pro Team: $.012 per credit, billed monthly. Credits pooled across the team and reset each monthly cycle. Packs shown: 2,500 credits (about 18 reviews a month), 5,000 (about 36) and 20,000 (about 144). At that rate the packs work out to about $30, $60 and $240 a month (our arithmetic, not listed prices). No annual commitment.
  • Enterprise: Custom pricing. Listed for 30+ users, by booking a demo. Adds SSO/SAML, audit logs, BYOK, single-tenant or on-prem deployment, Gerrit support, governance dashboard, priority support/SLA and MSA/DPA.
  • Open-source program: Free. For maintainers and contributors of eligible public GitHub projects (200+ stars, actively maintained). Includes PR reviews, summaries and /ask. Rules and PR History need a paid plan.

Prices were read from Qodo's official pricing page, which shows a per-credit rate and credit packs but no flat monthly fee, so the pack totals above are our calculation. Third-party articles describe older plans (a free Developer plan and a $30 per user Teams plan), which do not match the current official page. Confirm on the live pricing page.
